Coming Soon: Health Equity, the Digital Divide, and the "Do No Harm" Paradox with Mel Molina, MD MAS

February 27, 2026

Dr. Mel Molina is an Emergency Medicine physician and clinical informaticist at UCSF who is deeply focused on using technology to bridge the gap in care for vulnerable and underserved populations. Picking up where we left off in Part 1, we explore the complex realities of health equity and the digital divide. Mel challenges the "Do No Harm" paradox—where health institutions are terrified to deploy AI translation tools while ignoring the active harm caused by the broken status quo. We also discuss the risk of clinical atrophy for medical trainees, and why closing the loop on social follow-up remains the elusive holy grail of emergency medicine.
