We start building every product & feature from the same basic question - how can we find new, unique ways to use data to empower clinicians? Today we’re announcing the availability of Ask Evidently, an AI chat interface for clinicians embedded directly in the EHR. It’s prompting for clinicians - it’s HIPAA compliant, and it reads the patient chart, and it understands millions of medical concepts and the billions of connections between them.
The average patient record that Evidently consumes includes over 1,000 notes, 10,000 data elements, 100 outside records from Care Everywhere & other HIEs, and 200 scanned documents. And all of that content comes in a variety of types - scans, lab reports, imaging - even those faxes we refuse to give up as a health care industry. Every day, clinicians are given the impossible task of making sense of all of that data, in order to deliver excellent care.
Most of the time, the only option you have is rifling through documents in the media tab. And a lot of times, that’s not a reasonable option at all. EM docs don’t have that kind of time. Most PCPs can’t afford that kind of time.
And almost every time, the thing you need more than anything is just the ability to ask the right question.
“What is their history of heart failure?”
“Have they been intubated before?”
“What are the most important care gaps that need to be addressed?”
We built Ask Evidently for all of those moments. And a whole lot more. We have PCPs that have started using Ask Evidently as their primary “daily driver” interface for understanding and investigating patient records. We’re seeing docs use it to surface care gaps that have been missed for years, and connect fragmented data between the EHR and external systems like Care Everywhere that build more holistic trends of a patient’s health journey.
And we won’t lie - we build Ask Evidently because it’s the tool a lot of us always wanted in the ER.
We can’t wait to see what you Ask Evidently. Send us your favorite prompt!
