Who We're Looking For

We're seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Solutions Engineer to be the bridge between our cutting-edge Clinical Data Intelligence Platform and our hospital and clinic customers. You'll be instrumental in ensuring the successful implementation, integration, and ongoing adoption of our EHR-embedded, SMART on FHIR application that gives clinicians access to the Clinical Data Intelligence Platform. If you thrive on solving complex data integration challenges, enjoy collaborating directly with customer IT and clinical teams, and are passionate about improving healthcare through technology, this role is for you.

Who You'll Work With

  • You'll be the primary technical point of contact for our customers during the implementation phase, working closely with their IT departments, clinical stakeholders, and project managers.
  • Internally, you'll collaborate extensively with our Product, Engineering (Backend, Data, AI/ML, DevOps), and Sales teams to provide customer insights, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to product enhancements.
  • Members located around the Bay Area come to office in San Francisco once or more weekly. While relocation is encouraged, we're a remote-first company. You must be able to work during the core hours in the Pacific timezone. For compliance reasons, we cannot employ you outside the United States.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the technical implementation of Evidently's Clinical Data Intelligence Platform for new health system customers, from kickoff to go-live.
  • Install, configure, and deploy our SMART on FHIR app within diverse hospital IT environments.
  • Analyze customer-specific data integration requirements and design, develop, and test custom data connectors and feeds, particularly for HL7 v2 (e.g., ADT, SIU messages) and FHIR data.
  • Configure and deploy new, isolated instances of our SaaS platform for each customer, ensuring secure and compliant operation.
  • Coordinate closely with customer IT teams to establish secure network connectivity, including site-to-site VPNs, ensuring optimal throughput and low latency for FHIR requests.
  • Conduct thorough testing of data flows, verifying accurate exchange of critical feeds (HL7 ADT/SIU) and FHIR requests with our backend systems.
  • Provide expert technical guidance and troubleshooting during the implementation phase and initial post-go-live period.
  • Document customer-specific configurations, integration points, and custom solutions to ensure maintainability and scalability.
  • Gather customer feedback and insights, acting as a vital liaison to inform our product roadmap and engineering efforts.

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in a Solutions Engineer, Technical Consultant, Implementation Engineer, or similar customer-facing technical role, preferably within the healthtech industry.
  • Deep technical understanding and hands-on experience with healthcare data interoperability standards, including FHIR and HL7 v2.
  • Proven experience working with various Electronic Medical Record (EMR) / Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for data manipulation, integration, log analytics, and automation.
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including VPNs, firewalls, and secure data transmission protocols.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform) for deploying and managing SaaS applications.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Demonstrated project management skills to manage multiple implementations concurrently and drive them to successful completion.
  • A solid understanding of data security and privacy regulations in healthcare, including HIPAA.
  • Extra Credit: Experience with SQL, API integrations, and data transformation tools.

Compensation: $100k – $160k • 0.02% – 0.2%
