The Role

AI tooling is the new IT. We're looking for someone to own it — along with the rest of the operational backbone at a healthcare AI company growing fast.

At Evidently, we're raising the quality of care for every patient by empowering clinicians with the right information at the speed of thought. Our Clinical Data Intelligence platform extracts meaning from an ocean of clinical notes, outside records, and scanned documents — and delivers it in the moment it matters.

This is a high-ownership role reporting directly to our CISO/CTO. You'll administer the AI tools the whole company runs on — Claude and Claude Code seats, MCP connectors, Vertex AI access and quotas — as a first-class part of our IT stack, not a side project. Over time you'll own how we adopt new technology: research what's newly available, pilot it, and put it in people's hands.

We're an AI-first company, and we mean that about how you work, not just what you administer. We want someone curious and hungry to build tooling — not to execute checklists.

What You'll Do

• Employee lifecycle — onboarding and offboarding end-to-end with People Ops; Google Workspace and SaaS administration
• Device fleet — Apple Business Manager and MDM across an all-Mac fleet; provisioning, reset, and redistribution as the team changes
• Team support — be the hub for whatever unblocks people, from an AI tool to a SaaS seat to a hardware mute button that actually works on video calls — and evangelize what works so good tooling spreads instead of staying in one corner of the team
• Security & compliance — own our GRC platform, access reviews, and security awareness training; drive SOC 2 Type II and HIPAA
• Automation — script against Workspace, MDM, GRC, and AI-platform APIs so routine requests start answering themselves

What Success Looks Like

In your first 90 days:

• IT and security requests have a clear owner and a predictable response time
• New hires are fully provisioned and productive on day one
• Our device fleet is accurately inventoried, enrolled, and compliant
• Routine requests increasingly answer themselves, through automation you've built

Requirements

Experience:

• 3–5 years in IT administration, systems administration, or IT generalist roles — ideally as the sole or lead IT person somewhere small and growing
• Hands-on Google Workspace administration
• Apple device management (Apple Business Manager, Jamf, Kandji, or similar)
• Exposure to SOC 2, HIPAA, or a similar framework — you've been in the room for an audit
• Real scripting ability. You reach for a script before a spreadsheet.
• Based in the SF Bay Area, on-site regularly for device logistics and in-person support

Nice to haves:

• ‍ Healthcare IT experience
• GRC platform experience (Vanta, Drata, Secureframe)
• Exposure to integration engineering

Compensation

• $125k – $155k + equity
